The Mobility Cube

What a blast!

Recently, as part of the European Mobility Week, we officially opened the mobility cube at the WienMobil station in Maria-Tusch-Straße. The idea for the cube was conceived by the team of the Mo.Hub research project. The construction was carried out by the colleagues from greenlab Wien. The mobility cube was financed by the aspern mobility fund and the BMK.

The mobility cube not only offers a cosy, shady place to relax – especially while the weather is still so fantastic, the small panels on the walls on the subject of “cooperative mobility stations” explain how private individuals can share their own vehicles with each other.

There are many options to get from A to B in:

• The various services offered by Wiener Linien such as the underground, bus services, WienMobil bikes and WienMobil cars,
• car sharing by ELOOP and ShareNow,
• scooter sharing
• walking or using your own bike, …

Another new offer is the WienMobil Hüpfer, which is a supplement to the existing (public) means of transport in Donaustadt.

Any questions about the choice of means of mobility can be answered by the Mobility Adivsory Service Seestadt.

Invitation – Opening ceremony

The wait is over: The WienMobil station in Maria-Tusch-Straße (initiated by the research project Mo.Hub) is extended by a lounge area. In addition to shady seating and greenery, the so-called mobility cube offers information about cooperative mobility stations as well as the mobility offers on site.

Be there when we celebrate the unveiling of the new mobility cube!

In addition to the official opening, there will be many other exciting activities for young and old on the topic of mobility, such as the opportunity to test cargo bikes and visit various information stands and mobility advice..

You are also welcome to bring your children – the children’s programme offers lots of fun for all ages with a big ringing concert and a painting competition.

In addition, snacks and drinks as well as many interesting interlocutors from the mobility sector will be available for you from 2 pm to 7 pm.
