Foodiez – The smart sharing system

Technology assisted food sharing for Seestadt by Raffaela Pichler, Mark Peneder and Peter Oberhauser.

“Foodiez” aims to support and improve an existing food sharing initiative by adding technology components to a refrigerator in the aspern Seestadt. As part of this project, the fridge will be equipped with, among other things, a camera that will allow residents to take a quick look at the fridge from the comfort of their own homes. Foodiez offers fun and efficient ways to interact with the community fridge. We hope that this will not only make food sharing easier, but also more widely accepted in the community.
