Binaural Seestadt

The project Binaruale Seestadt by Michael Macek offers the interplay of hearing and moving along acoustic paths through the Seestadt with the help of a borrowable device for binaural recording of position data and ambient sounds. An application for reliving one’s own or other experiences. Recorded paths through aspern Seestadt are recorded as GPS tracks and “re-listened to” and experienced on a map application. Similar to the AR/VR routes Aspern, only this time the urban space can also be experienced on the acoustic level through binaural sound, listening right in the middle.
